Dr. Malik obtained his Bachelors of Science with emphasis in Bio-Physics and Molecular Biology in 1999. Dr. Malik then attended New York University College of Dentistry where he received his degree in 2003. After dental school Dr. Malik attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey where he completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in 2008.
Dr. Malik also lectures and trains surgeons and dentists all over the world as well as here in the United States on various complex surgical procedures.
Dr. Malik is an active member of the community and enjoys participating with non-profit groups like The Smile Train and Easter Seals Organization that benefit patients with mental disability and financial hardship.
With his extensive training and clinical expertise, Dr. Malik has become the leading provider in the Bar Attachment Denture procedure. Also, placement of zygomatic and pterygoid maxillary implants as well as onlay symphyseal/ramus and iliac crest hip bone grafts for patients who have upper (maxillary) and lower (mandibular) deficiencies. He has extensive training in advanced facial reconstruction with implants around the world with Dr. Yvan Fortin in Montreal Canada, Dr. Carlos Aparicio in Madrid Spain and Dr. Thomas Balchi in Philadelphia Pennsylvania and Dr. Peter Dawson occlusal equilibration.
Dr. Malik also routinely does procedures such as orthognathic surgery, facial cosmetics, facial trauma, TMJ, bone grafting, pathology, dental implants, sedation and wisdom teeth extractions.
Dr. Malik has traveled around the world to countries in need to do various dental surgeries and birth defects such as cleft lip/ palate as well as other facial deformities.
Dr. Malik is also the President of the Maxillofacial Institute of Implantology and Vice President of The American College of Maxillofacial Implantology.
